This is the first time I write one of these, so bear with me if the format is completely wrong. This first post is meant as an introduction to this whole blog and why I have created it. I hope to both describe who I am in short, what my goals are with this blog and what to expect in the future.

First things, first. I have created this blog to cover and perhaps improve my long term goal for investing: Being able to quit my job and live off my investments, with a key word being ABLE – as i love my job and would not consider it at the moment. I however find the freedom to do so, incredibly alluring. If I can at the same time inspire or give just a few others a bit of inspiration I would be happy.

About me: I am a danish guy, aged 26 who have a great interest in investing. I work in the banking sector in Denmark as a financial advisor, which might also be the reason for some of the interest and my hopeful knowledge. I find much of my investing inspiration and knowledge comes from Warren Buffett who also owns the quotation above and also Danish fund manager Kurt Kara who runs one of the most succesful Danish Value funds, Majinvest Value.

I will in my next posts cover both my strategy and goals for investing for the long term and how I evaluate stocks and other investment options. I will thereafter continue to create posts about the stock I currently have in my portfolio. After the initial posts I will strive to make a post if I add a new holding to my portfolio and make quarterly updates. That is not often but as I wrote above I believe in investing for the long term, and as such try my best not to care about the daily fluctuations of the stock markets.
